It has been awhile since blog post titles are no longer looking "nice" if they're aligned on the left, as they always used to be, or that's what I personally think... I always try to customize my blog/website, always trying to put new things, to make it look as I wish to. And then it came that trend of centering blog post titles.
When I first saw it, was actually on a Squarespace blogging platform, which by the way I really like their designing tools, and so I liked the look and the feeling of centering a title, I guess that's how a title is meant to be, centered.
So for all those Weebly users, I know it's an easy platform to just drag and drop, but sometimes we need more than that, and that's when HTML and CSS comes. DON'T worry, if you're not into that, it's just two steps, and probably the easiest you'll ever do in coding.
1 | So first things first, you're gonna have to login into your Weebly account and click on your desired website or blog EDIT button :
2 | Secondly, go and click on the DESIGN tab :
3 | And click on the bottom left button that says Edit HTML/CSS :
4 | On this step, you're gonna be seeing a lot of options on the left tab, but you have to click on the one that says main_style.css , and search on the coding tab for the section that says in grey /* General Styling :
5 | Right there you have to add a code to the h2 tag, right below the padding: .3em 0;
Once there, type on enter and write the following tag : text-align: center;
And that's it! You're done! Now you have all of your blog post titles centered, and I really recommend this option for those who have a light theme and not so bold type of fonts, so that the title of each post can be more visible and of course it definitely looks fancier.
So does it look better for your website/blog aswell?
